Osceola County, FL Focus Of Electronic Plan (ePlan) Submission, Review and Tracking Presentation at Building Officials Association of Florida (BOAF) Conference
Central Florida County Officials Demonstrate Leadership in Information Technology Best Practices
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — May 14, 2009 — Avolve Software Corporation, developers of ProjectDox® ePlan and collaboration software
and a leading provider of ePlan solutions for cities, counties and states nationwide, announced today that it will feature central
Florida’s Osceola County in its presentation regarding the county’s experience using information technology for electronic permitting
and plan review and approval at the 57th Annual BOAF Educational Conference & Exposition on Tuesday, May 19, 11:10 a.m. to noon, at
the Daytona Hilton Beachfront Hotel.
An early adopter of ePlan technology, Osceola County was the first jurisdiction in the Sunshine State to choose ProjectDox and
establish an end-to-end permit approval process, which includes fully electronic plan submission, review and tracking. Several of
the State’s city and county governments have followed with ePlan solutions in various stages of system deployment, making Florida
an ePlan leader nationwide. Osceola County officially began receiving digital plan files in 2007, and recently completed an 11-story,
300 room hotel and meeting facility plan review project entirely online.
“The results of our work have pushed Florida to the forefront with respect to this technology and we look forward to sharing our
progress at the BOAF conference,” said Richard Gloss, Building Official for Osceola County. “The level of interest in our success and
the specific challenges we have faced as a pioneer has grown and continues to rise.”
“Florida building officials have been demonstrating their leadership state-wide, and the cooperation our company has with Osceola
County as a technology partner is truly inspiring,” said Ron Loback, CEO and President of Avolve Software. “ePlan technology is a real
win-win for the jurisdictions and their respective communities, and we are pleased to be at the center of the trend in Florida and the
rest of the country”, he added.
