ePlan Comes to Beantown (Boston)

The City of Boston Massachusetts (pop. 625,000), one of the oldest and most storied U.S. municipalities, has selected Avolve’s ProjectDox® ePlan solution for deployment in 2013. Boston is regarded as the unofficial “Capital of New England” for its cultural and economic impact on the New England region. The City’s Inspectional Services Division directed the ProjectDox acquisition, and multiple City agencies will take advantage of the new electronic design and construction plan submission, review and business process management capabilities that are the hallmark of the solution. Several City officials have begun promoting ePlan within the enterprise, including leadership within IT, Building and Fire. ProjectDox will save Boston citizens and commercial partners time and money, while improving communication, coordination, efficiency and accountability between the City’s agencies and streamlining the plan review process.
