Boise ID to Offer Avolve Software’s ProjectDox Electronic Plan Solution Pursuant to Most Livable City Strategic Objectives

City Council Votes Unanimously for Electronic Plan Submission and Review in Support of Improved Departmental Efficiencies, Sustainability and Quality of Life for Citizens; Follows State Lead

Scottsdale, Ariz. — May 4, 2010 — Avolve Software Corporation, developers of ProjectDox® communication and collaboration software and the leading provider of ePlan solutions for government nationwide, announced today that the capital City of Boise Idaho (population 203,000) has selected the Company’s ProjectDox® ePlan solution for deployment in the City’s Planning and Development Services Department. By implementing ProjectDox, the City of Boise will provide a new class of online services for citizens, architects, developers, and contractors working with the City that will speed the development approval process while reducing costs, increasing the accuracy of reviews and furthering sustainability goals for The City of Trees.

During the unanimous council vote to adopt electronic plan submission and review technology, Boise City Council President Maryanne Jordan commented that “(Electronic Plan Review) is going to go a long, long way towards increasing efficiencies in the (Planning and Development Services) department, preserving our air quality,  and providing a lot of convenience for our customers. Kudos to the staff for getting it to this point; we look forward to the updates on how (electronic plan review) is working.”

Mayor David H. Bieter says his vision is to make Boise “the Most Livable City in the country.” Boise made the U.S. News and World Report’s Best Places to Live top ten in 2009 and has achieved similar rankings from CNN’s Money and Kiplinger’s magazines in previous years. The City has been aggressively following a strategic plan that was first published in 2005 and addresses a wide range of developmental and operational concerns involving multiple city departments including Planning and Development Services, Public Works, Parks and Recreation and Police and Fire.

Boise joins the State of Idaho, who has already successfully deployed ProjectDox ePlan technology. In 2008, the State of Idaho Division of Building Safety became the first state agency to offer an integrated ePlan solution to support citizens and its regulatory requirements in smaller jurisdictions, as well as help manage disaster preparedness and response capabilities statewide.

The ProjectDox ePlan solution provides the City of Boise with key benefits including reducing paper, printing costs, storage costs, deforestation, drive time, gasoline consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions – while improving customer service and enabling greater efficiency between departments.

“We applaud Boise, for its  exceptional vision and progressive use of technology; we look forward to our working partnership in providing a new dimension of online citizen services delivery and streamlined processes to the City,” said Ron Loback, CEO and President of Avolve Software. “The developments in Idaho in general and Boise in particular reflect a significant commitment to leadership and making the future happen now – qualities that, as a company, we share with them.”
