Electronic Plan Review Market Leader to Contribute Oversight for Key Best-Practice Initiatives
SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — October 27, 2009 — Avolve Software Corporation, developers of ProjectDox® ePlan and collaboration software in cooperation with FIATECH, an industry consortium that provides global leadership in developing automated technologies for capital projects, announced today that Ron Loback, President and CEO of Avolve, will co-chair the FIATECH task force dedicated to providing leading-edge technology solutions and best-practices for streamlining public-private sector collaboration in the planning, design, construction and management of land and building assets.
FIATECH is organized around a comprehensive technology “roadmap” that is segmented into specific areas of focus for research and development. The Regulatory Streamlining task force to date has been headed by Robert Wible, a nationally-recognized public sector technology consultant who continues to support this group as FIATECH’s Streamlining Project Manager. Mr. Loback’s chairing of the task force represents part of a strategic move to concentrate industry and government attention on applying innovative technology solutions to building and land use regulatory processes.
“I am very pleased to have Ron Loback, CEO of Avolve Software, as a co-chair for one of our major work project areas. Ron brings to FIATECH, and to this task, many years of experience in helping state and local governments streamline their building regulatory and land use processes through the more effective use of modern information technology tools“, said Rick Jackson, Founding Director at FIATECH. “Ron’s active participation in our recent planning session in San Antonio, and his help in shaping our work plans for 2010, demonstrate the type of hard work, dedication and motivation we expect from all our members, from all across the industry, as we work together to use technology to improve companies’ bottom lines.”
“Our job is to bring commercial and public sector leadership together to work out the future of sustainable planning and development as it relates to the regulatory process, and then provide a viable way to implement the appropriate practices and technologies to realize it”, said Loback. Several influential commercial industry leaders and government technology early-adopters have joined with FIATECH to support the effort. Jonathan Deming, of construction giant Zachry Corporation (San Antonio, TX) also serves as the task force co-chair.
