Report Designed to Identify Potential Funding Sources Available for New Technology, Support Local Government Application Process

SCOTTSDALE, Arizona — November 12, 2009 — Avolve Software Corporation, developers of ProjectDox® ePlan and collaboration software and Robert Wible & Associates, a consulting firm specializing in engineering national streamlining initiatives, announced today that it has made a research report on potential federal grant funding resources available to local and state governments that are seeking to streamline processes using information technology.

Avolve Software and Robert Wible will also host a webinar on November 19, 2009 to discuss the report findings with any who are interested in learning more about the federal grants landscape and how to approach the grant application process. Visit http://www.avolvesoftware.com/grants.asp to download the report and register for the webinar.

Lack of adequate funding sources has been one of the top five barriers to more jurisdictions streamlining their regulatory processes and applying information technology to improve their effectiveness and efficiency. A growing number of Federal grants have been made available to state and local governments to aid in a range of tasks — from reducing environmental pollution to greater energy conservation and increasing homeland security. To help support State and local government efforts, Avolve Software and Robert Wible Associates have produced the Federal Grants to State and Local Governments for Streamlining and Information Technology.

The report provides important information on 12 Federal grants that jurisdictions can access to improve their building, land use or environmental programs through regulatory streamlining using information technology. The Report also includes a summary spreadsheet and a draft generic grant application that can be readily modified by jurisdictions to pursue federal grant opportunities.

“What we are giving the local and state government in the report, the webinar, and especially in the draft generic grant application, is intelligence and guidance on how to tweak applications against these grants — whereby some grant funding can be assigned for enhancing regulatory compliance and information technology”, said Robert Wible of Robert Wible & Associates and author of the report.
