C. Kelly Pearce, Director of the State of Idaho’s Division of Building Safety (DBS) and a veteran administrator of state agencies over three decades, and Arlan Smith, who heads up the Plan Review functions for the Division discuss the recent State of Idaho legislation which provides financial incentives to state school districts if they comply with energy-efficient State codes and construction methods for building projects.

To help expedite code and design review, and streamline the program, the DBS is using ProjectDox ePlan submission and review. Plan review and projects will be completed faster, saving the school districts and stakeholders time and money as well as contributing to faster incentive distribution to the school districts. The DBS also plan to develop access to plans for first responders.
