Avolve Software Professional Services (1/2)

We make it work for you

Simply put, we’re the best at what we do. A big reason Avolve has become the electronic plan market leader is because our Professional Services Group has spent more time working with more customers building air-tight ePlan solutions than anyone else. We’ve pioneered the ePlan configuration and deployment process, and have gained unparalleled experience transitioning departments and jurisdictions from paper to digital plan submission and review services.

Assess – Design – Deploy – Optimize

Avolve Software uses a proven, standard implementation methodology that is followed by every member of its Professional Services organization. This methodology ensures that the project is completed on time and that it fully meets the requirements of Avolve’s customers. The key project roles the team brings to each engagement include:  project manager, systems analyst, systems engineer, technical specialist, technical writer, course developer and instructor.

Each implementation follows the four phases illustrated above:  Assess, Design, Deploy, Optimize.  These phases are described below.

Assess
In the Assessment phase, Avolve Professional Services gathers requirements through a detailed process and operations discovery methodology in order to document the business workflow to be implemented.  The requirements that are gathered  are consolidated into an appropriate project Statement of Work (SOW) and the primary implementation schedule.  The project implementation schedule also documents the roles and responsibilities of the Avolve Professional Services team and the customer’s team.  Finally, the specifications for integration with the jurisdiction’s permitting application and other required system interfaces are also documented.

The Assessment phase involves a high-level review of customer goals and objectives for the project and related initiatives. Recruiting the involvement of senior people who will be the ultimate customers and sponsors of the project, as well as reviewing the standard workflow structure provided by Avolve for the project design stage, is also covered. Procedural departures from the standard workflow are noted for customization during the design phase.  Additionally,  Avolve conducts a detailed review of current business processes to support identified goals and establish a framework for project success. The customer is presented with a clear definition of project requirements, scope, and delivery timelines. Included with discovery deliverables are system and workflow design specifications that will be used during the design stage.
