1. How can ProjectDox help me with my move to a paperless environment?

ProjectDox is a web-based plan check and review solution. When a permit request is submitted, a project is created for the citizens, they are then invited to the project via email and instructed to upload their electronic CAD files. Once uploaded, the review and approval process begins. After approval, the plans can be printed over the web or downloaded by the citizen. This process from start to finish is completely paperless.

2. Does ProjectDox work with my current permitting application?

ProjectDox can provide a complete electronic plan check solution as a standalone product or integrated with an electronic permit application. ProjectDox integrations are currently available for Accela Automation and PermitsPlus/VelocityHall. Additional integrations are available through professional services.

3. Does ProjectDox take long to implement?

ProjectDox can be installed and implemented in less than 2-3 days. Installation and training are provided directly from Avolve Software.

4. Are there subscription fees for running ProjectDox or per user charges?

ProjectDox is a software application that city and county agencies own and run on their own servers. There are no hosting or subscription fees and ProjectDox is licensed for unlimited users and projects.

5. Can ProjectDox help shorten the plan check and review process?

Most definitely. ProjectDox brings the plan check team together, allowing each departments to review and markup the permit drawings concurrently, sharing comments and change requirements.

6. How will the citizen know when a plan resubmission is required?

With all review departments collaborating on their change requests, the citizen is sent clear communication (via email notification) on the changes required. Change requests and resubmissions are all controlled by ProjectDox through predefined custom workflows. The citizen can check the status of their permit plan check 24x7.

7. After permit plans are approved how will the citizen access them?

After the permit plans have been approved, all markups are burned into the drawing and the drawings are saved as PDF files. The citizen can then print their permit plan set over the web or download them for distribution to the general contractor and bidders.

8. Does ProjectDox support wireless inspections?

Once the permit plan review is complete, the same approved drawings available to the citizen are also accessible to the inspectors, both wired or wireless.

9. Is ProjectDox expensive?

ProjectDox is one of the most cost effective automation solutions a city or county agency can implement to improve their plan check and review process. With no subscription fees or per user charges, ProjectDox is an affordable solution for small and large agencies.

10. Is ProjectDox difficult to use?

ProjectDox is very easy to use for both citizens and agencies alike. With step by step instruction in the project invite email to online help, ProjectDox was designed for users with little to no computer experience.
