Ketchum has reached a preliminary agreement with the Idaho Division of Building Safety to use its state-of-the-art software to review construction plans.
At no cost to Ketchum, the city will be able to use the state’s $300,000 software package ProjectDox, allowing developers to send plans electronically and simplify the entire review process. A state employee would be relocated in Ketchum to handle building inspections and plan review.
“The former plan review process often took months, delaying construction that provides needed dollars in our economy and city,” said Mayor Randy Hall. “The ProjectDox program can shorten the review process from months to weeks or even days, in some cases.”
